So waiting patiently for some time now for the incredible iPhone to come to Verizon. Why Verizon you ask? Because I live in Wyoming, I get to choose from Verizon, Alltel, or Union Wireless. Verizon wins of course. I am a Mac fan and therefore would like an iPhone. After countless reports and speculation that the iPhone exclusivity deal with AT&T is over; along with unqualified rumors all from “reliable sources”, one gets sick of waiting.
So I go on a Christmas cruise and leave all internet/cell phone reality for about a week and come back on-line to see the iSlate rumors. What is this iSlate? An Apple tablet said to be like a big iPhone with similar software. With tiles for each program and gestures to run everything of course. We are talking Apple here. But, it also is not only carrying Wi-Fi, it also has a 3G radio inside of it. Who will be the provider? Verizon is the name of names I read in one report. So is this the Apple product that is supposed to come to Verizon in early 2010? I think so, and so the rumors may be true. An Apple iPhone like device may be coming to Verizon, but it is still not the iPhone. We will have wait till the next Apple event to find out the truth, and should be right around the corner. For now I wait for Kevin Rose to slip in with a rumor he heard and also keep on top of what Ryan Block, Peter Rojas, and Joshua Topolsky have to say. Look I am probably wrong about all this but it makes me feel better about moving on and letting the iPhone go. At least the iPod touch will have a camera and maybe a LED flash added to it soon and I can get one of those! Alas I am stuck with my Blackberry Storm, well until Jan 25th and the Palm Pre Plus comes in a blazin.
